Congressman Cohen Delivers Meals for MIFA before Thanksgiving

“This holiday season, I urge the people of the 9th District to give their time and open their wallets for our important charitable organizations like MIFA and the Memphis Food Bank,” said Congressman Cohen. “Many people in our community are hurting from the economic downturn, but the effects are exacerbated in soup kitchens, food pantries and other charitable groups who have seen food and monetary donations plummet over the past year. We have lost millions of jobs as a result of the economic crisis which means that more people than ever will be dependent on groups like MIFA for food this winter. I ask anyone in the 9th District with the means and ability to please help feed the hungry in our community.”
