Congressman Cohen Offers Memphis Barbecue In Support Of Memphis Tigers
“The first offer from my colleague was Kansas barbecue for Memphis barbecue. I didn’t see the point of that since Memphis already has the finest barbecue in the world,” stated Congressman Cohen, “but I’m looking forward to every delicious bite of Kansas steak.”
Cohen continued, “As fine as I’m sure the steak will taste, nothing’s going to taste as good as the sweet victory of the National Championship that the Tigers are going to bring home to Memphis. My city will beat Dennis Moore’s state. With all due respect to Congressman Moore—‘Toto, you’re not in Kansas anymore.’ You’re in the clutches of the Tigers!!!”
Cohen is a graduate of the University of Memphis’ Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and Moore is a 1967 graduate of the University of Kansas. Cohen and Moore represent the University of Memphis and the University of Kansas, respectively, in the U.S. House of Representatives.
