Congressman Cohen Releases Information on Economic Stimulus Rebates on His Website
“On February 7, 2008, Congress passed sweeping legislation to boost our sagging economy, including over $100 billion in tax rebate checks for American workers, as well as disabled veterans and their widows, and seniors living on Social Security,” said Congressman Cohen.
“I have gathered new information from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the House Ways and Means Committee into an extensive set of Frequently Asked Questions about the stimulus payments to ensure that everyone in the 9th District knows what to expect and can plan accordingly.”
The new FAQ is available on Congressman Cohen’s website at https://cohen.house.gov. Please note that this document attempts to help constituents understand the stimulus package and the rebate amounts they may be eligible for, the information provided contains only rough approximations since each family’s tax situation is different. Therefore, this information should only be used as a point of reference, not as a definitive source.
