Shiloh Church of Memphis Pastor W. James Thomas, Ii, to Open the House Of Representatives Session
“Since taking over as Senior Pastor for Shiloh Church of Memphis in 1994, Pastor Thomas has served the people of the 9th District as a spiritual and civic leader,” said Congressman Cohen. “Under his leadership, the membership of Shiloh Church has grown from 75 to more than 600 people. Additionally, through his work with Grace Community Development Corporation and the Marchell Foundation (a regional scholarship granting foundation), Pastor Thomas has brought hope and assistance to a multitude of individuals in our community.”
“Pastor Thomas’s civic activism, spiritual leadership and pride in his hometown have helped to change our community for the better, and he embodies the great spirit of generosity and work ethic that this country was founded on. For all of these reasons, it was my great pleasure to help bring Pastor Thomas to Washington, D.C. for the honor of opening a session of Congress.”
Video of the Rev. Thomas’ prayer and Congressman Cohen’s speech will be available shortly after they are delivered on Congressman Cohen’s website at https://cohen.house.gov.
