[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN) and Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. (R-TN) today introduced the bipartisan Ensuring Useful Research Expenditures is Key for Alzheimer’s (EUREKA) Act (H.R. 5073), which would provide $10 million for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other agencies to create prizes to accelerate discovery and development for new prevention measures, treatments, and cures for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today reintroduced The Fair Access to Credit Scores Act of 2016, which would include a reliable, accurate credit score with the free annual credit reports available to consumers by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. April is National Financial Literacy Month.

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN), a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, and Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) announced today they plan to offer a bipartisan amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Bill to establish a minimum seat size on commercial airlines as well as a minimum distance between rows of seats to protect the safety and health of airline passengers. The Senate passed the FAA Reauthorization Bill earlier today and it now goes to the House of Representatives for consideration.

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today honored baseball legend and civil rights icon Jackie Robinson in honor of Jackie Robinson Day. Jackie Robinson Day is celebrated on April 15 to commemorate the day Jackie Robinson made his major league baseball debut.
