WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) announced today that the Department of Health and Human Services (HSS) has awarded research grants totaling more than one million dollars to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and Healthchart LLC, a Memphis firm that manufactures diagnostic medical equipment.
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) received a 100 percent score on the Defenders of Wildlife 2017 Conservation Report Card for his support of a variety of environmental conservation measures during the first session of the 115th Congress. The Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act passed the House on a 419-3 vote and the Senate on a vote of 98-2 in July 2017 and became law on August 2, 2017. The law was intended to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and his inner circle as the United States prepares for midterm elections this year.
