[MEMPHIS, TN] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has selected a proposal from the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) for $2,640,000 in federal funding under the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) program for the purchase of three new electric rail trolleys for downtown Memphis.

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Memphis International Airport will receive $1,383,415 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). This funding comes through DOT’s Voluntary Airport Low-Emissions (VALE) program, which is designed to reduce airport emissions and improve the air quality in and around the airport, and will be used to install newer, more efficient air conditioning units in three jet bridges.
