MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that a Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program operated by the Community Alliance for the Homeless will receive an additional $86,929 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), raising the total award to $3,819,948. The original grant award was announced in September.

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and its Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, today questioned expert witnesses at a hearing entitled "The First Step Act, The Pandemic, and Compassionate Release: What Are the Next Steps for the Federal Bureau of Prisons?"

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Memphis will receive a grant of $3,806,815 from the National Science Foundation for scholarships to train a regional cybersecurity workforce. The project, "CyberCorps Scholarship for Service: Developing the Cybersecurity Workforce in West Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas," is under the direction of Department of Computer Science Assistant Professor Kan Yang.
