WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today wrote to the chairman and ranking member of the House Ways and Means Committee asking for reconsideration of a provision in a pending GOP tax bill that would end Historic Preservation Tax credits.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) introduced a bill today requiring the president to release all documents that can and should be released pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.

"Despite the 1992 passage of a Congressionally mandated October 26, 2017, deadline requiring the President of the United States to make a determination about what documents can and should be released to the public regarding President John F. Kennedy's assassination, the current president failed to comply," Cohen said.

WASHINGTON – At a House Judiciary Committee markup, Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) called on the Committee Chairman to schedule a hearing on a bill setting the standards for firing special counsels, including Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is pursuing an investigation of possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia in last year's election. This year's open enrollment is half the length of time – six weeks shorter – than last year. December 15 is the last day to sign up.

The Amendment would prohibit presidents from pardoning themselves, as well as members of their family, their administration and campaign staff.
