[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in downtown Memphis was awarded $746,404 in federal grant funding to help treat chronic infections. The grant, which will be used to help identify therapeutic candidates capable of eradicating recalcitrant chronic infections, comes through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ (HHS) National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
