WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, today announced that $18,446,336 has been allocated for the Memphis-based tri-state region by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The funding comes from funding from both the Mass Transit Account of the Highway Trust Fund, advance appropriations provided by the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and annual appropriations.

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is investing $17,120,000 for energy efficiency upgrades to housing developments in Covington and Memphis. The owners of Wesley Stage Park in Memphis will receive $5,280,000 and the owners of the Broadmeadow Apartments in Covington will receive $11,840,000.

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the Tipton County Board of Education will receive an additional $11,224,734 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for replacement of Crestview Elementary School in Covington destroyed in the storms and tornadoes of March of last year.
