[MEMPHIS, TN] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Southwest Tennessee Community College has won $4,041,439 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to develop, expand, and enhance innovative career training programs in the healthcare, transportation, and logistics industries. Today’s funding comes through the DOL’s Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) Grant Program, a 4-year, $2 billion initiative signed into law by President Barack Obama.

[MEMPHIS, TN] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the Memphis Housing Authority has been awarded $48,322 in federal funding to provide tenant-based vouchers that will enable homeless veterans and their families to access affordable existing housing of their choice. This funding, which will also allow veterans to receive an array of supporting services, comes through the Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program.
