MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, today announced that Millington-Memphis Airport will receive a $2,976,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Contract Tower Competitive Grant Program to renovate the 80-year-old air traffic control tower, including a new roof, waterproofing, asbestos abatement, windows, HVAC and other interior and exterior finishes.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), who introduced the Multiple Substance Impaired Driving Prevention Act and succeeded in getting it signed into law as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, today received the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (Responsibility.org) 2021 Leadership Award. This award is presented to a select few Members of Congress for their leadership in the fight against impaired driving and underage drinking.

I am proud to have the honor of representing Memphis, the transportation capitol of the United States and the world, on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. When it comes to transportation assets, no place in the world can rival Memphis.
