MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, today announced that Tennessee will receive $1,256,554,233 from the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) that only he and Congressman Jim Cooper (TN-05) in the Tennessee Congressional delegation voted for last year.

The funding comes after a significant time lapse in testing a Memphis victim’s rape kit led to the rape and murder of a Memphis kindergarten teacher.
