The Preserve America Community program recognizes a select group of communities that use their heritage resources in sustainable ways and share the myriad benefits of historic preservation with residents and visitors.
[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch requesting that the U.S. Department of Justice look into reports of computer glitches at the Shelby County Jail and courts in Tennessee that have caused individuals who have posted bail to remain stuck in jail. Each year, I host an appreciation luncheon for Memphis veterans because they are among the bravest and hardest working men and women in our nation, and words alone cannot express the gratitude I and our nation owe them for the dedication and sacrifice they've made in service to our country. My annual luncheon is also a time to thank their families because I know that they too have made many sacrifices. We cannot say “thank you” often enough.
