Mr. Speaker, this weekend tens or hundreds of thousands of Americans came to Washington to protest the war. It was reminiscent of Vietnam, as so much of this war is reminiscent of Vietnam.
Memphis, TN -- Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) will cut the ribbon for the opening of the exhibit INSIDE AFRICA at the Pink Palace in Memphis tonight at 6:15 p.m. INSIDE AFRICA explores the many facets of Africa – its peoples, its lands, its rich cultural history and its stories – and provides a bridge to contemporary American life.
Memphis, TN -- Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) will tour the Memphis Veterans Administration Medical Center on Friday, January 26, 2007, beginning at 10:00 a.m. CST.
Congressman Cohen will meet with Director and CEO, Mrs. Patricia O. Pittman, and then will be escorted through the facility by Director Pittman so that he may meet with Veterans and staff.
The Congressman will enter the property at Bed Tower entrance located at Pauline and Jefferson Avenue.

One of the major issues I heard during my campaign from seniors was how much it cost them to buy drugs and how it is essential for their life and well being.
Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Cohen completed his first full week on Capitol Hill, casting affirmative votes to raise the minimum wage as well as for implementation of the 9/11 commission recommendations, advancement of stem cell research, and legislation to bring down the cost of prescription drugs for every American senior. Congressman Cohen voted last week for the ethics reform package.
