The measure would prevent the wealthiest Americans from escaping federal income taxes or paying lower tax rates than ordinary Americans. President Biden proposed it in this year’s budget and called for Congress to act in this year’s State of the Union address.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that Tipton County will receive $1,033,567 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for debris removal after the severe storms of March 31 to April 1 this year.
