MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, today announced that Tennessee will receive $139,172,276 under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) that only he and Jim Cooper (TN-05) voted for in Tennessee's Congressional delegation. The funding will provide all Tennesseans with more transportation options, ease congestion in local communities and reduce carbon pollution across the state.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) and 15 cosponsors today introduced the Prohibit Wildlife Killing Contests Act to stop the practice of rewarding hunters for killing animals on public land in contests that serve no legitimate wildlife-management purpose.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
"America's wildlife all play a special role in the natural ecosystem and killing them for what some deem ‘sport' is both cruel and unnecessary. These contests serve no legitimate wildlife-management purpose and ending them is the right thing to do."

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced a $66,347,259 investment in Tennessee for the Weatherization Assistance Program authorized by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) that only he and Congressman Jim Cooper (TN-05) in the Tennessee Congressional delegation supported.

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the Shelby County Health Department's Ambient Air Monitoring Network will receive a $520,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

WASHINGTON – Representatives Steve Cohen (TN-09) and Nanette Diaz Barragán (CA-44) today led a letter to the leaders of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and its Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment urging them to include various environmental justice provisions in the upcoming 2022 Water Resources Development Act (WRDA).

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a member of the Committee on Natural Resources, announced that Tennessee's wildlife agencies will share $40.1 million in Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration (WSFR) grants authorized with the passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Only Congressmen Cohen and Jim Cooper (TN-05) in the Tennessee Congressional delegation voted for the IIJA which President Biden signed into law in November.

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, today announced that Tennessee will receive $13,074,884 in the current fiscal year and $88,334,969 over five years after passage of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Only Congressmen Cohen and Jim Cooper (TN-05) from the Tennessee delegation voted for the measure which President Biden signed into law in November.
