WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Memphis will receive a grant of $174,960 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a projected entitled “CRII: III: Metadata-guided Imbalance-Modeling for Robust Computational Healthcare” under the direction of Department of Computer Science Assistant Professor Xiaolei Huang.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today applauded President Biden’s decision to declare a major disaster for the state of Tennessee, including Shelby County, for the storm that ravaged the region from December 22 to 27 last year.

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will provide $17,198,284 in federal funding to the City of Memphis for Public Assistance Alternate Procedures (PAAP) debris removal operations as a result of the severe winter storm of February 2-4, 2022. The funding is authorized under Section 428 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will receive $890,694 from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to study the interaction between T-cell receptors and the peptide-major histocompatibility complex (MHC).
