Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) Congressman Steve Cohen today released the following statement regarding the passing of Philip H. Trenary, CEO of the Memphis Chamber of Commerce:
"Phil Trenary was a civic leader and businessman, and was extremely important to the City of Memphis. He was totally immersed in the Memphis community, both as a celebrant and as a contributor. He will be missed. My thoughts go out to his family."

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) applauded today's Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee passage of his bill to rename the facility at 1325 Autumn Avenue as "The Judge Russell B. Sugarmon Post Office." The Senate committee's action clears the way for consideration by the full Senate.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) urged the Senate to include the Seat Egress in Air Travel (SEAT) Act in its version of legislation to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) before authorization expires on September 30, 2018. The bipartisan bill, which Congressman Cohen introduced with Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), would require the FAA to establish minimum sizes for seats and distances between rows to ensure that passenger safety is not put at risk by the recent shrinking of seat sizes.
