WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital three federal grants worth more than $780,000 for research.

“St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is one of the best research hospitals in the country,” said Congressman Cohen. “These new federal funds will help ensure St. Jude doctors and scientists continue to provide our children with the best care possible.”

The first grant -- worth $325,737 – will be used for pharmacology, physiology, and biological research and will be distributed by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.
