WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the Helsinki Commission, observed the one-year anniversary of Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by reintroducing a resolution condemning Russian actions in Ukraine as a genocide under applicable international laws.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today wrote to Comptroller General Gene L. Dodaro of the U.S. Government Accountability Office seeking a review of the federal government’s costs associated with treating patients who used asbestos-contaminated Johnson & Johnson baby powder and became ill because of their exposure to this known carcinogen.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today reintroduced the Baseball Diplomacy Act with Congressman Mark Pocan (WI-02) to eliminate barriers to Cuban athletes entering the U.S. on non-immigrant visas during the baseball season and then returning home when the season ends. The measure would allow players to retain their Cuban citizenship and return to Cuba with their earnings, rather than having to renounce their citizenship and abandon their families to play baseball in the United States.
