WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will receive a $479,100 grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to conduct therapeutic genome editing research.

WASHINGTON – Congressmen Steve Cohen (TN-9), whose newly redrawn district now contains parts of Tipton County, today wrote Governor Bill Lee asking that he waive the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) testing for approximately 1,200 students in areas affected by recent storms, especially at badly damaged schools in Covington.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) has been reappointed to the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe and will serve as its Ranking Member. WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the Metal Museum, formerly the National Ornamental Metal Museum, will be receiving a $500,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for its continuing efforts. The Metal Museum is devoted to exhibitions of metalwork and public programs featuring metalsmiths. It is the only institution of its kind in North America and one of only a few in the world devoted exclusively to metalwork.
