[WASHINGTON, DC] – Two years to the day after a Supreme Court decision eviscerated civil rights protections enshrined in the Voting Rights Act of 1965, Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) continued his efforts to fully restore those protections by cosponsoring the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2015, which was introduced by Congresswoman Terri Sewell (AL-07).

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced 4 federal grants totaling $2,936,706 in funding for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This funding comes through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and will be used for a variety of programs and research projects.

“This funding will be used to continue important work at St. Jude, one of the world’s finest health care institutions,” said Congressman Cohen.
