“This event is a terrible reminder of the cruelty and injustice that still exists in the hearts of many. A despicable act of violence has occurred at a place dedicated to peace and remembrance, and in a building that is synonymous with respect. My heart and prayers go out to the family of the brave security guard who was wounded and has put his life on the line to protect all those who were inside the Museum.

“This legislation gives consumers a reason to trade in that old, gas-guzzling vehicle for a new, more fuel-efficient car or truck. Equally important, this legislation is the kind of practical solution we need to grow our clean energy economy, cut down on pollution, and help families save money at the gas pump,” Congressman Cohen said.

On the eve of the National Championship Tournament, Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) called on the National Basketball Association (NBA) and its Players Association to reconsider the ban on allowing 18-year olds to enter the league.
