Those students who borrowed less than $12,000 and have been in repayment for 10 years will have their entire debt cancelled next month without taking any action. The decision accelerates the SAVE deadlines by six months, making life-changing opportunities for student borrowers.

The department announced the award of 34 grants nationwide, totaling $20 million, through the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) Grant Program.
